As a new organization, though, they need to ensure their chapter aligns with the parent organization. Additionally, the potential for fluctuating leadership calls for a tool to provide new members with clear and consistent communication about the chapter’s policies and procedures to enable quick participation. This Rise360 course achieves those objectives.

Design Process

Analysis:

Interviews were conducted with Executive Board members of the organization to assess the need for a solution. Rise360 was selected due to its easy access and usability.

Design and Development:

Supporting documents, such as by-laws, for the chapter and organization’s policies were procured. Zoom meetings of national chapter leaders were reviewed. Additionally, current and past Executive Board members of the chapter functioned as SMEs throughout the process.

Development occurred by outlining course content. Then, a storyboard was created. Knowledge checks were evaluated by SMEs to ensure major points of understanding required.

Implementation and Evaluation:

Current chapter members went through the course and provided quick points of feedback. Outside community members were also asked to review the course for more objective feedback.

Current implementation is on-going.
